Community & Awards Eyecare & LASIK in Derry
The doctors and staff of Spindel Eye Associates are very active in our local communities and give back with service to the community whenever we can.
Lions Club : We are actively involved with the area Lions Clubs, not only by collecting donated eye glasses, but also by providing eye exams and glasses to those in need in affiliation with the Lions Club.
Salem School District Screenings : Every year, our doctors and staff volunteer their time and services by performing vision screenings for hundreds of students in the school district.
Senior Health Fair : Each year, Spindel Eye Associates looks forward to participating in area health fairs (Salem, Derry, Londonderry) – providing both vision screenings and patient education regarding various eye diseases.
Patient Education : Dr. Spindel and Dr. Vazan provide diabetes education at Derry Medical Center. Dr. Vazan provides patient education presentations at Parkland Medical Center and with the Greater Derry Diabetes Support Group.

Independence Fund – We are sponsors and have raised $16,000 with fundraising for the All-Terrain wheel chair for disabled veterans of NH
CHS Extra Mile Award– Dr. Spindel was the first recipient of the Extra Mile Award, given to him by the director of CHS (Community Health Services) of Greater Derry, Donna Tighe. Dr. Spindel’s dedication to the community and providing care for hundreds of patients sured and underinsured has won him this award.
Derry Boys and Girls Club annual supporter– In April 2014, Spindel Eye Associates raised $20,350 for the Derry Boys and Girls
