Dr. Kathleen Prendergast, O.D. In Derry & Nearby Areas
Dr. Kathleen Prendergast, O.D., FAAO, FSLS received her Doctorate of Optometry with honors from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University School of Optometry in Worcester, Massachusetts after earning magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science at MCPHS University in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her postdoctoral residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Arizona College of Optometry Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
Dr. Prendergast enjoys working with all patients, but her passion is fitting therapeutic specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus, postsurgical corneas, aphakia, trauma, and other corneal irregularities. Additional interests include myopia management, ocular prosthetics, and prosthetic contact lenses. In addition, Dr. Prendergast is trained in managing conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, as well as other ocular conditions.
Dr. Prendergast is a member of the New Hampshire Optometric Association (NHOA), American Optometric Association (AOA), is a credentialed Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), and a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society (FSLS).
On a personal note:
Dr. Prendergast is a native of Salem, New Hampshire. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, baking, and reading books. She started her optometry career shadowing and then working at Spindel Eye before optometry school and is happy to be back with the Spindel family.
